Four pillars define the member experience at 1790. Each is curated by hand, refined season after season, and held to a standard befitting Columbia County's most distinguished residents. Together, they form a complete and considered alternative to public dining.
Chef-driven seasonal menus sourced from the Hudson Valley, served only to members and their invited guests.
Cellar tastings, salons, and quarterly gatherings that bring together the county's most consequential voices.
Reserved parlors and boardrooms appointed for confidential meetings, celebrations, and milestone evenings.
A dedicated team that anticipates preference — from a favored vintage to a quiet table by the window.
Our chef builds each menu around what arrives that morning from Hudson Valley growers and the Berkshire foothills. The kitchen knows your aversions, your favorite courses, and the wines you've enjoyed before — because consistency is the deepest form of welcome.
From the Vintner's Table series to our annual harvest dinner, member events are designed to spark meaningful conversation among a thoughtfully assembled room. Each gathering is invitation-only and capped to preserve intimacy.
Three reserved spaces — the Library, the Hudson Room, and the Cellar — host everything from confidential negotiations to milestone birthdays. Each can be appointed in advance with menu, service style, and seating to your specification.
Our concierge holds a quiet ledger — your standing arrival time, the table you favor, the bottle you've requested for next month. The result is a visit that begins before you arrive and continues long after you've departed.
