1790 sits along the historic Albany Turnpike in Hudson, ninety minutes from the George Washington Bridge and fifteen from the Berkshires. Valet is available to members and registered guests each evening from five.

When the doors are open.

The dining room, library bar, and member lounges are available to members and their guests during the hours listed. Private rooms may be reserved outside posted hours by arrangement with the concierge.

A note on access: 1790 is a private members' establishment. Non-members are warmly welcomed when accompanied by a member in good standing, or by prior arrangement.

  • How does one inquire about membership?

    Membership at 1790 is by introduction. We welcome inquiries through the form above; a member of our concierge will be in touch to begin a private conversation.

  • May I bring a guest as a non-member?

    Yes — guests are welcomed when accompanied by a sponsoring member. Please ask your host to make the arrangement on your behalf.

  • Do you accommodate private events?

    Our private dining rooms host gatherings from intimate suppers of eight to full-house celebrations of one hundred. Members receive priority dates.

  • What is the dress code?

    Elegant smart throughout the day. Jackets are requested in the dining room after six. Athletic wear and denim with visible distress are kindly discouraged.
