House Notes

Dress and house rules

A few customs keep the rooms feeling the way members expect.

Dress

Smart casual at lunch. Jackets are appreciated after six. Athletic wear and ball caps stay in the car.

Phones

Calls belong in the foyer or on the terrace. The dining room stays quiet — photographs are fine, speakerphones are not.

Guests

Members may host up to six guests at table. For larger parties, reserve the private dining room or speak with the club team.

Membership

By invitation

Membership is extended by invitation of the board, sponsored by two current members in good standing. Members who wish to propose a candidate should write to membership@1790club.com or speak with the club manager.

Our kitchen changes with the season. Weekly features are posted each Monday, and the full menus below are served at lunch and dinner. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday, 11:30 to 2; dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 5:30 to 10.
